DGF Suez Signature of a European agreement on professional equality for women and men

GDF SUEZ and the European Trade Union Federations as well as the representatives of the Group’s trade union organisations in Europe signed the Agreement for Professional Equality for women and men on 5 June 2012.

The goals of this agreement

The signatories of this new European agreement aim to make equality a reality by promoting equal opportunities and equal treatment in order to encourage Diversity at every level of the company.

The strategies in order to achieve professional equality

The signatories agreed that the following strategies be implemented in order to achieve professional equality across all the Group’s European entities:

• guarantee equal opportunities in recruitment,

• support all employees through career changes and development, while respecting equality,

• monitor salary equality,

• ensure a better relationship between home life and work life, as much for men as for women,

• prevent behaviour which is detrimental to the dignity of men or women,

• increase diversity within personnel representation bodies.

This agreement takes into consideration the quantitative objectives fixed by GDF SUEZ for 2015.

It adds to the Group’s various partnerships already in place for several years with external agencies recognised for their Diversity-related projects: PRESAGE (Gender Studies Teaching and Research) jointly undertaken by Sciences Po and the French Economic Observatory (OFCE), etc.
